My name is Tom Wemett. I’ve been involved in the real estate industry since 1973

I started representing homebuyers only in 1992 due to the huge conflict of interest inherent in trying to represent buyers and sellers in the same transaction.  I became an exclusive buyer’s agent representing homebuyers only to avoid these conflicts of interest and to offer my homebuying clients true fiduciary duties at all times and in every situation.

I am the Founder, Manager and Broker of Record of Homebuyer Advisors LLC, a real estate brokerage that provides “homebuyer-only” representation in central and western Massachusetts.  Check out my “tips for homebuyers” or scroll down to learn more about my background, training and to read recent reviews about our services.

Tom is a founding and current member of NAEBA, the National Association of Exclusive Buyer Agents, and currently serves on the NAEBA Board of Directors.  He was the national president of NAEBA in 2003.  He also serves on the MABA, the Massachusetts Association of Buyer Agents, Board of Directors.  Tom has a business degree from RIT, the Rochester Institution of Technology and the following training and certifications.

I wanted to follow up now that I have purchased a home, with your expertise and guidance being two big parts of the successful conclusion. I felt confident knowing you were working solely on my behalf as a buyer’s only agent.  It made a lot of sense to me to have someone who had 100% interest in assisting me the buyer, rather than someone who also assisted sellers. That separation of interest was a big factor in choosing you to represent me. Your passion and knowledge were convincing, and your dedication to understanding my concerns as a home buyer was reassuring.

I felt I I was in good hands through the entire process, and that turned out to be the case. I am happy with my purchase and appreciate your efforts that helped me determine what is a good  value in a home, what features to look for and which ones to avoid. Any transaction involving a large sum of money to buy something I cannot return if I don’t like it required a lot of thought, research and information analysis, a difficult  and potentially stressful process. With your expert help, that process went smoothly with minimum trauma. Thank you for your hard work
